Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We aim to provide stimulating, fun activities which not only get us active, moving and using our imaginations but also align with the five key developmental play domains – SPICE: S- Social skills, P – Physical health and well-being, I – interactive skills, C- Cognitive skills and E – Emotional intelligence. Our activities are balanced to give each young person throughout the day the opportunity to develop these skill sets, improving their cooperation, communication, self-esteem, confidence and teamwork skills, all whilst having fun!

Fresh Kids Holiday Clubs run daily during every School holiday, except Bank Holidays and the Christmas Holiday.  Drop off is any time during 8.30am-9.30am and there is a flexible pick up between 4.30pm-5.30pm.

What is the fee structure and payment terms?

  • Refund policy: we do not issue refunds unless we cancel a Scheme due to unforeseen circumstances (in this instance a full refund will be given). In the event of illness or injury where 2 or more days are missed, we will issue you with a credit note which can be redeemable against the next Holiday Scheme only. A medical certificate may be required. You will need to cancel your booking online by 5pm prior to the day of the booking. Failure to do so will result in a Credit Note not being issued.
  • Late collection of a child on the day will incur a cost of £5 per 5 minutes after 5.30pm to cover additional staffing costs.

What is the booking procedure?

Booking is easy on our safe online portal. You can book, pay and manage your bookings all online. Parents must complete any additional necessary paperwork such as ‘Permission to Administer Medicine’ forms.

Should I bother Setting a Password and creating an account?

Yes! It will make the booking procedure easier and quicker for you.

On the last page of the Booking screen you will be given the opportunity to ‘Set a Password’. Setting a password means that all the relevant information you’ve given us, will not need to be input again – saving you time.

In future, when you log in to your account, all you’ll need to do is check that the information on your booking is still current and up to date; or amend it with any relevant latest detail.

Why do you need the details on the Booking Form?

A Booking Form must be completed for each child. This form records personal information, emergency contact details, medical information and permissions/consents.

This combined online Booking/Registration Form replaces the separate paper versions of the Booking and Registration forms.

Once you’ve reached the last screen of your Booking, you’ll be given the opportunity to Set a Password for logging in at a later date. This will store your information so there’s no need to retype lots of detail each time.

My child requires/may require medication on site, what should I do?

If a child attending Holiday Club requires prescription medication of any kind, you must download and complete a Permission to Administer Medicine form and bring this with you on the first day or return it to Staff at the Club will not administer any medication without such prior written consent.

How is the day structured?

Each day is packed with activities, Sports and Arts & Crafts, all of which are optional and there is always a choice to take part in. Each day is structured with the same basic layout as we know how important routine can be to help feel secure. However, that doesn’t mean each day is the same!

There is supervised free-choice play each morning – allowing children to make their own choices. During each day there’s a mix of team, confidence, self-esteem building games. We follow our daily advertised Activity Programme where we have balanced our activities to include something for everyone, with a wide range of skills to learn or develop and most importantly lots of fun. In fact, we’ll be having so much fun we’ll hardly notice that we’re getting motivated and active!

And just to add a little bit more …. we have Special Events every afternoon.

We end the day with an extra dose of fun as we build our Snug and Dens to chill out in, with optional books, puzzles, board or card games.

What food do the children need to bring?

The mid-morning snack, lunch and afternoon breaks are always at the same set times. Please provide your child with food and a fruit snack and a refillable water bottle (please do not include fizzy/energy drinks). Please be aware that we operate a STRICTLY NO NUT policy in any food on site.

What should my child wear?

Please ensure your child is dressed in comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for running around. Some activities will be outside (weather permitting) so please wear appropriate clothing (sun hat or jacket/waterproof).

If the sun is out, please don’t forget to apply SUN CREAM before you arrive.

What should I do if the person collecting my child is not on the ‘Collection of your child’ list?

In exceptional circumstances, if the parent requires another person who is not listed on the Booking, to collect their child, the child’s parents or carers must inform the Club in advance and provide a password. If the manager has any concerns regarding the person collecting he/she will contact the main parent or carer for confirmation.
